Strategic Sourcing

The mission of the Sourcing Department is to institutionalize a strategic sourcing process that continuously improves and re-evaluates the purchasing activities of PSC. The Sourcing Department is responsible for obtaining quality goods and services at the lowest reasonable cost, while maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.

As we enter into a new generation of procurement systems, we will see aggressive use of RFP’s, the development of strategic sourcing agreements for niche goods and services, and greater benchmarking efforts to ensure we are securing the best total cost of ownership in our agreements.

Simply put, we strive to respond to the operation’s and our people’s needs by creating the best possible contracts, building all fiscal and policy controls into systems in an unobtrusive manner and allowing our team to buy from those contracts without further purchasing activity.
